I am a 45 year old woman who has tried to quit smoking and is on medication for type 2 diabetes. I have started to see improvement in my blood sugar levels after starting glucophage. I have had no side effects and it has been my best to date for almost three months now. I am currently on the same medication but my blood sugar levels have remained stable. I am now at the point of needing to take a second dose. Can anyone tell me what is causing this? I am hoping that this has nothing to do with glucophage, I have not tried glucophage for years, so I can't be completely sure. Please help!

I have been on the medication for several years now and have been having very bad migraines. I am now experiencing headaches, muscle aches and aches that are starting to take their toll on my vision, hearing, balance and taste. My vision has not improved much so I cannot see or touch the outside of the eyes. I have had vision problems while taking glucophage. I am afraid it will cause vision loss so it has to be done. I have also had an allergic reaction to glucophage and I am terrified to stop it because of that. I am also worried that I will have to discontinue the glucophage as it has been doing nothing to help with it. I am a huge advocate for all who try to quit smoking. I am not quitting smoking as I don't have a history of smoking and my family has had the same experience. I am a big believer that if you are trying to quit then you will. If you are thinking about going on glucophage then I would strongly suggest you do not quit without glucophage, there is nothing to stop it, you will be fine. If you are thinking about trying the glucophage then I would strongly suggest you do not stop it, there is nothing to stop it, you will be fine.
